Harvest - September and October Gallery - 2025

Image
Michele Gentile, Scruff McDuff , October 2025, oil on stretched canvas, 9"x12"       Susan Borgatti,  Miniature Cut Paper Landscapes , October 2025, cut paper, glue - all 3.5” x 2.5" Clockwise from top left: Gayhead Light at the Cliffs of Aquinnah, California Poppies Superbloom, Cape Cod Cranberry Bog, Great Smoky Mountains Sunset These landscapes were created for a ‘Hand-cut Paper Landscapes’ swap I joined. I picked four of my favorite places as inspiration. I sketched them out beforehand, but they were more time consuming (and sticky!) to execute than anticipated.     Susan Borgatti,  Feathers Series 2 , October 2025, watercolor and ink - 8x10” I find painting feathers very relaxing. I prefer to use highly pigmented, vibrant watercolors, and I do them in three layers - an initial outline, light coloring of the feather, once dry, an additional watercolor layer to add more color, lastly adding details with ink (gel pens and finalizers)...
